The research is part of the Ecobanking Project of CLACDS, whose goal is to help the Latin American banking sector stay current on best practices in analysis criteria and environmental management development tools used by major international banks, for taking concrete environmental measures in their functional areas.
This document was developed in the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) and consists of a complete description of the entity, strategic action lines, risk analysis and transfer, and successful KfW cases in Central America. It then gives a development proposal for the Central American financial system to contribute to the region's sustainable development by means of an environmentally correct evaluation.
